​There are 4 types of mountains in Africa.

​They include:Block mountains,Volcanic mountains,Fold mountains,Residual mountains

​BLOCK MOUNTAINS

​Block mountains are also called horses.

​Formed through FAULTING.

​Examples are;

​G-Great Kharas in Namibia.

​R-Ruwenzori in Uganda.

​U-Usambara in Tanzania.

​D-Danakil Alps in Ethiopia

​M-Mau ranges in Kenya.

​A-Aberdare ranges in Kenya.

​P-Pare in Tanzania.

U-Udzungwa in Tanzania.

​K-Kipengere in Tanzania.

​VOLCANIC MOUNTAINS

• ​Volcanic mountains are formed through volcanicity.

• ​we have active, dormant and dead volcanoes.
