​and "to throw" (jacĕre).

​-Interjections are "thrown" in between

sentences to express a

sudden feeling.

​-Usually, interjections are used to

​express surprise.

How do I use an interjection?

​-Interjections usually stand alone

​with an exclamation point or a period

​(if the feeling is not as strong.)

​-If used in a sentence, a comma

​separates an interjection from the

​rest of the sentence.

​Example: Wow, I didn't see that coming.
