What are the 3 tenses of verbs?

PAST TENSE
- used to describe things that have already happened
RULE:
- The past tense is formed by adding -d or -ed to the base form of the verb.
EXAMPLE:
- All the milk (flow) ________ out of the milkmaid's pail.

PRESENT TENSE
- used to describe things that are happening right now, or things that are continuous
RULE:
- The present tense is formed by using is, am, or the base form of the verb. Generally, s or es is added to the base form when the subject of the sentence is singular but not when the subject is plural.

- used to describe things that are happening right now, or things that are continuous
EXAMPLES:
- I feel great! Pauline (love) ______ pie. I’m sorry to hear that you’re sick.
- Me and my mom both (love) _____ cake.

PRESENT AND PAST (for be verbs)
EXAMPLES:
My dog (be) is sick. (present tense)
My dog (be) was sick last night. (past tense)

FUTURE TENSE
- used to describe actions that will happen in the future
RULE:
- The simple future tense is formed by using shall or will with the base form of the verb.
EXAMPLE:
- All the young men (look) _________ at me.
