The VEX VR (Virtual Robot) is a pre-built robot that is equipped with sensors, controls, and many physical features.

​Robot Controls

  • Drivetrain - this makes the robot drive forward, reverse and make turns

  • Gyro - this helps the robot figure out which way it is facing.

  • ​Pen - allows the robot to draw when the pen is placed down.

  • Electromagnet - allows the robot to pick up metal disks

​Robot Sensors

Sensors tell the robot what is happening around itself​

  • ​Front eye and down - cameras that can see objects in front and below of the robot, measure the distance of those objects and tell its colour.

    Location sensor - reads the (X,Y) coordinates of the robot.

  • Bumper sensors - lets the robot know if it is touching an object.
