Absolute value
How far a number is from zero.

Additive Identity
0, because adding 0 to a number does not change it:
a + 0 = 0 + a = a

Additive Inverse
What you add to a number to get zero.The negative of a number.

Associative Property
This property states that when three or more numbers are added (or multiplied), the sum (or the product) is the same regardless of the grouping of the addends (or the multiplicands).

Commutative Property
numbers on which we operate can be moved or swapped from their position without making any difference to the answer

Credit
the trust that lets people give things (like goods, services or money) to other people in the hope they will repay later on.

To “distribute” means to divide something or give a share or part of something.

Another name for Reciprocal. What you multiply by a number to get 1

Rational Numbers
A number that can be made by dividing two integers (an integer is a number with no fractional part). The word comes from "ratio".

Terminating Decimal Expansion
The number which has a finite number of digits after the decimal point is referred to as a terminating decimal. AKA the decimal stops. For example, 3.25 is a terminating decimal because there are no more numbers after the 100ths place. The number 0.34891 is terminating because there are no more numbers after the 1.

Withdraw
money taken out of a bank or money removed from a saving account or a checking account.
For example, a withdrawal of 20 dollars means that 20 dollars was taken out of a bank.
