Present Continuous
Meaning and Use:
The present continuous tense describes an action in progress at the momment of speaking.
We can use the present continuous to talk about things happening right at the moment. Things happening around and current moment. Repeated actions over a temporary period. Changes over time.

Rules: ( Ing)
We add (ing ) to a verb.
Example: watch- watching
We drop (e) if the verb ends in (e) and we add (ing)
Example: take - taking (except with double e's)
We double the consonant if the verb ends with single vowel+ single consonant
Example: sit- sitting
We double the consonant if the verb is two syllables and it ends with a single vowel+ single consonant.
Example: forget - forgetting
We double the consonant if the verb has two syllables and ends in (L)
Example: Label -labelling
We change the verb if it ends with (ie) to (y)
Example: lie-lying
We add (k) if the verb ends with (c)
Example: picnic - picnicking

Subject + verb be+ verb + ing+ complement.
I 'm( am) watching Tv.
You, we
they 're (are) watching Tv.
He, she
It 's ( is) watching Tv.

Subject + verb be+ Not + verb + ing+ complement.
