​Good after-noon fifth period!

​Come in and put your stuff down quietly. If you need to use the bathroom,get water or fill up your water bottle now is the time because we aren't going during my lesson's.

​What were doing today

​Everything we do besides lesson slides are hands-on so nobody need to be on their phone chrome book or any other electronic device or I will take it until the end of this period.Yesterday was sort of a fun-day but now it is time to get surious.

​Today's Focus

• ​What is a decimal?

​Today's Lesson

​Today we are going to be going over what a fraction is. We will be taking notes from a video or 2 we are going to watch in just a few minutes.

​What we will be doing in this class for the rest of this week

• ​Tomorrow- we will review on what a fraction is, what a decimal is, and how they relate to each other(compare and contrast from each other) and then a fraction kahoot

• ​Friday we will have out math midterm then we will go over classroom rules and procedures

​What are we doing next week?

• ​Next week we will first do a short review and kahoot on what a decimal and a fraction is and how they relate to each other so that I know yall truley understand it and we will do another kahoot on classroom rules and procedures then we will start learning on how we can convert a fraction into a decimal and a decimal into a fraction

​Time to watch our video and get on with today!

​Now we are going to watch a 10 minute video on what a fraction is but we will NOT watch the whole video! Then we will listen to a 2-4 minute song on what a fraction is. Then we will solve fraction addition subtraction multiplication and division problems as a class then we will find groups of 5(y'all may choose your groups but if your group gets to rowdy or it takes to long to find groups I will pick y'all groups)and we will solve fraction equations with our groups. The whole group will have a job. One person will be the scribe meaning everybody writes the equations and stuff down but the scribe will write literally everything including everybody in the groups names and their jobs. Then there will be a time keeper keeping track of the time looking at my clock(not your chrome book or phone) or asking me what time it is and then there will be the facilitator which will lead the group on every equation and help anybody who needs and then there is the spokesperson who will explain out loud to me and the rest of the class what they got for their answers, and how they got in. The last person in the group will be the helper meaning if y'all need help they will raise there hand and tell me or they will come to me if I don't see their hand and tell me.

TIME TO FIND YOUR GROUP'S!!

​Now that we have watched the video I am now giving you all 1 minute to find groups of 5 if you aren't in a group by the time the 1 minute is up I will find a group for you GO!Find your groups quickly guy's!!

Now that your all in y'all groups find someplace to sit and everybody get out a piece of paper and if its in your journal you can write in your journal but you must rip it out and give it to me after we are done.This assignment is 100 points it is the first thing I am grading you on so it is going to play a big role in your grade until we do these other assignments and they get put into the grade book also this is do today since we are starting off in groups then as a class y'all should be done so again it is due today unless we don't finish it today. If we aren't able to finish it today then we will finish another tomorrow because we are going to finish all or most of it today. So again this is due today it's 100 point's and it's the first thing I am grading you on so it will play a very big part until we do everything else and get those graded etc etc etc. I also suggest if you have questions you ask me before or after class i rather then an email because I am not very good at checking my email as I said yesterday and if there is a problem or your parent wants to talk to me they can come here or they can call me if you got to yucca middle school employees and find me next to my email will be my cell phone number. Back to the lesson

Now, you all have another minute to choose what each person's job is going to be. Then you will get a piece of paper as I explained before and everybody will write there name and job's on it but the scribe will also write everybody else's name on their paper and everybody's job. One minute starting now!!!!!!!!!!

​Alright now we are going to start I am going to pull up fraction equations on my screen and you all with your group's will come up with the answer for each one then we will discuss as a class and once where done we will do a quizziz or kahoot on decimals. You all may start and you all have about 20 minutes to do these equation's with your groups.
