​Affixes- (Prefix)

  • Prefixes are first syllable that has their own meanings.

  • Ex: Pre + Show= Preshow (the show "before" the main event).

Ex: Im + Possible= Impossible

(not possible).

Ex: Multi + Media= Multimedia

(more than one media)

  • Suffixes are last syllables that has their own meanings.

  • Ex: Joy + ous= Joyous (possessing the qualities of joy).

  • Ex: Enjoy + ment= Enjoyment

  • Ex: Comfort + able= Comfortable (being of comfort)
