​Affixes- (Prefix)

• ​Prefixes are first syllable that has their own meanings.​

• ​

• Ex: Pre + Show= Preshow (the show "before" the main event).

• ​

​ Ex: Im + Possible= Impossible

​ (not possible).

​

​ Ex: Multi + Media= Multimedia

​ (more than one media)

​Affixes- (Suffix)

• ​Suffixes are last syllables that has their own meanings.

• ​

• Ex: Joy + ous= Joyous (possessing the qualities of joy).

• ​

• Ex: Enjoy + ment= Enjoyment

• ​

• Ex: Comfort + able= Comfortable (being of comfort)
