– การใช้ is am are

is am are จะใช้ใน present simple tense และ present continuous tense (ปัจจุบันกาล)  และ is am are จะต้องใช้ให้สอดคล้องกับประธานของประโยค ดังนี้ ถ้าใช้ไม่ถูกตามนี้จะผิดหลักภาษาเขา

was were จะใช้ใน past simple tense และ past continuous tense (อดีตกาล)  และ was were จะต้องใช้ให้สอดคล้องกับประธานของประโยค ดังนี้ ถ้าใช้ไม่ถูกตามนี้จะผิดหลักภาษาเขา

     I am a man. ผม เป็น ผู้ชาย

• He is tall. เขา ตัวสูง (is ไม่ต้องแปล หลัง is คือ คำคุณศัพท์)

• She is a girl. หล่อน เป็น เด็กหญิง

• It is a cat. มัน คือ แมว

• You are in the room. คุณ อยู่ ใน ห้อง

• ​We are from Thailand. พวกเรา มาจาก ประเทศไทย

• They are rich. พวกเขารวย
