FUNCTIONS OF CLASS OFFICERS

A. The Class President
1. He/she assumes full responsibility over the class in the maintenance of order while the teacher is out or absent.
2. He/she reminds his adviser of any irregularity going on in the class.
3. Whenever any important matter pertaining to the interest and welfare of the class or whenever a project or activity is to be undertaken by the whole class, he/she is authorized to call a meeting, and presides over it. Advisers shall be informed afterwards.

4. He/she sees to it that the other class officers perform their respective duties.
5. By his/her excellent leadership, he/she will show his/her class the way which the best performance in every school activity can be attained
6. He/she sees to it that his virtual classroom provides the necessary atmosphere so that learning can be maximized

B. The Class Vice-President/Secretary
1. He/she assumes the responsibility of the class president if the latter is absent.
2. He/she is the ex-officio class secretary and performs all the duties of one:
a. He/she takes the minutes of all class meetings.
b. He/she takes care of the bulletin of information and sees to it that all announcements are properly arranged.
3. He/she prepares the necessary communications that the class has to send to the administration, parents, teachers, etc.
4. He/she along with the other class officers sees to it that his/her classroom provides the necessary atmosphere
so that learning is maximized.

C. The Class Treasurer
1. He/she takes care of all the finances of the class and collects whatever amount is due his/her classmates.
2. He/she posts the financial report for his section every quarter or as the need arises.
3. Using a record book, he/she keeps record of all receipts and disbursements that have been made throughout
the academic year.

D. The Class Auditor
1. He/she checks the financial report prepared by the class treasurer.
2. He/she helps the treasurer in collection of class dues.

E. The P R O
1. He/she makes arrangements for all activities (e.g. drives, soiree parties, etc.)
2. He/she is responsible for disseminating general information about his class to the different school offices like the administration, student government, student publications, etc.
3. He/she takes care of all circulars coming from the different offices of the administration.

F. The Sports Representative
1. He/she represents the class in IAC.
2. He/she calls and supervises the try-out for the class intramural teams and makes the final decisions as to who will compose the team.

COMMITTEES

HOPE Committee (Committee on Academics)
a. Sees to the academic status of the class members
b. Helps facilitate studies through online group session and/or peer tutoring
c. Helps class members on academic probation to regain non-probation status
d. Helps solve teaching-learning problems

FAITH and LOVE Committee (Committee on Spiritual Formation)
a. Helps plan and implement all liturgical activities of the class: Paraliturgies, Recollection, Retreat, Bible Study, etc.
b. Helps secure the attendance and participation of all class members in such activities.
c. Helps in the religious formation of the class.

JOY Committee (Committee on Social and Civic Action)
a. Helps plan and implement the social and civic activities of the class-outings, parties, day-outs, soirees, social action program
b. Helps in the social development of members – i.e. develops friendship, patches up differences or resolves conflicts for smooth interpersonal relations (SIR)
c. Reminds class of and prepares appropriate cards for birthdays, sickness, death of members of class

PEACE Committee (Committee on Discipline)
a. Sees to the proper behavior of members in and out of the virtual classroom
b. Follow up absences, tardinesses, cutting classes

WORK Committee (Committee on Social Media and Arts
a. Monitors classmate’s posts and messages in social media especially in chat groups
b. Coordinates with the PRO of the class.

Integration of Classroom Officers in the New Normal
1. Video Meeting Monitor (Vice President/Secretary)- monitors participants' activities during video meetings, especially the use of the chat box .
2. Techie Crew (Peace Committee) - assists classmates/teachers in solving audio/video problems
3. Social Media Moderator (PRO and Work Committee) - monitors classmates posts and messages in social media especially in chat groups
4. Online Class Clowns (Joy Committee) - facilitates humor and entertainment in between sessions 5. E-Librarians (Hope Committee) - provides, digital resources (sites, videos, e-books) for the lessons and activities
