​Past Perfect.

​We use "Past Perfect" when we speak about one action before the principal action in past. The Past Perfect is the first action next Simple Past is the second action.

​Past Perfect

​Sometimes Past Perfect we use it when we speak about some action that happened in past only for a short period of time.

​Structure of Past Perfect.

​Subject + had + Verb in Past Participle + Complement

​Subject + had + not (hadn't) + V.P.P. + Complement.

​Yes/No Question

​Had + Subject + V.P.P. + Complement?

​Yes, Subject + had

​No, Subject + had + not (hadn't)
