Exercise for health

  • ​Besides eating healthily, regular exercise is also important for your growing body.

  • ​Exercise can be fun and enjoyable as long as you do proper warm-up and wear proper attire and shoes.

Warming up

  • is done before doing exercise.

  • ​Stretching, jogging or cycling are the examples

  • ​It is done for 5 to 10 minutes

  • ​warming-up should be done slowly

  • ​choose T-shirts and shorts made of cotton

  • ​cotton absorbs perspiration well

  • ​choose shoes that fit well (with shock-absorbent soles)

Food and exercise

  • People tend to eat more after a vigorous exercise

  • ​We use up a lot of energy after exercising

  • ​Eating too fast can lead to overeating

  • ​Our brain takes 20 minutes to realize that we're full

  • ​Eating too much can make us overweight

  • ​When we exercise take a few sips of water every 15 to 20 minutes

  • ​Drinking during and after exercising help to replace the water lost through perspiration

  • ​If your body lacks of water, you might suffer heat stroke

​Care for your eyes

  • ​Read with the book at least 30 cm away from your eyes

  • Sit up straight when you're reading

  • The lighting should be comfortable to your eyes

  • Sit at least 3 m away from the television set

  • Do not look at the sun directly

  • Visit an optometrist if you have problems seeing clearly

  • Spectacles help to correct and make your eyesight better

  • Take more orange-red food as they're good for your eyes
