Sound

Sound lets us hear. If someone made a sound and you heard it, here is what happened. The sound vibrated particles in the air and went to your ear, then hit the eardrum. The eardrum sent a message to the brain, but the brain did not get the message immediately. The message had to travel through three tiny bones called the cochlea. Once the message reached the brain, you heard the sound.
