Members of squamata include snakes and lizards. This is the most common group of reptiles. You can find them in your backyard, park, pet store or even in your garden. Most are small but some are very large. They vary in size from the Barbados thread snake to the Komodo dragon. They have lots of ways to defend their selves such as mimicry and making their selves big

Testudinadae includes turtles, terrapins and tortoises. You can find members in any body of water. Witch makes them very common. All are protected by bony carapaces. Most are large. But they can be small to most babies are the size of your hand. But adult Galapagos tortoises can grow bigger then a five year old. Turtles and terrapins have webbed feet

crocodyla
Crocodillans include caimans, gavials, alligators and crocodiles. They’re secretive and sightings are fairly rare. Although they are common in some places they are still avoided. For good reason too. the American alligator has a bite force of a ton. And a black caiman will eat a five year old on sight. But overall alligators and crocodiles are pretty cool.
