Introduction

Whenever you do any assignments that involve doing research, you need to clearly show what websites, books and videos you have used when writing your assignment.

At VSA we use a system called "MLA 9" to do this (recently updated from MLA 8). In MLA 9, the bibliography or list of sources at the end of your assignment is called the "Works Cited" page.

At VSA we used MyBib to create our works cited page. You may have used it last year for the PYP exhibition.

Britannica

When you use Encylopaedia Britannica as a source, use the built-in citation generator by clicking the checkmark button, and paste the reference into MyBib.

Don't just paste the URL into MyBib as this won't create a good reference!

You can also create the reference yourself if you prefer.

Make sure that you use the version of Britannica we subscribe to at school (school.eb.com) as it has lots of extra features, don't just google 'Britannica'!
