​Properties of Addition

​Identity Property of Addition- ang tawag kung ang

addends ay dadagdagan ng zero (0), mananatiling ang

bilang ng addends ang sagot o sum.

Halimbawa:

395 +0 = 395

210 + 0 = 210

0 + 108 = 108

​Commutative Property of Addition- ang tawag kahit

na pagpalitin ang ayos ng addends ay mananatili pa din

ang sagot o sum. Hindi mahalaga ang ayos o order ng

mga bilang.

Halimbawa:

a. 9 + 6 = 6 + 9

​ 15 = 15

b. 4 + 8 = 8 + 4

​ 12 = 12

​

​Associative Property of Addition- ang tawag kung

pagpapalitin ang magkagrupo at mananatili ang sagot.

Halimbawa:

a. 9 + ( 6 + 3 ) = ( 9 + 6 ) + 3

​ 9 + 9 = 15 + 3

​ 18 = 18

b. 11 + ( 2 + 7 ) = ( 11 + 2 ) + 7

11 + 9 = 13 + 7

20 = 20
