​Used with verb to

​- agree, decide, want, like ,hope, remember, try. ought , used, manage, fail, etc.

​-Some adjectives are followed by the infinitive 'to'

​-some verbs are not followed by "to"

​Example:

​Don is learning to dance.

​Sue hopes to win a prize.

​Do try to come.

​We managed to be on time.

​2. Gerund (- ing)

​They are used as nouns

​used as subject of the verb

​used as object of the verb

​used after a preposition

​Example:

​Swimming is a good exercise.

​Writing is my hobby.

​Soloman likes reading.

​I am tired of working.

​must, can, could,has/have to, ought to, used to, shall//should ...

​used to express ability, request, obligation, possibility, permission, prohibition, wish, command, advice ...
