• ​The ACT of Measuring Something.

​1. Why do we need to have a standardized Unit of measurement?

​2. What is the first basis of measurement based on what you have watched earlier?

​3. What will happen if there is no standard in measuring Something?

​TWO system of measuremet :

​1. English System which originated in England

​2. Metric System or Systems International (S.I) which originated in France

• ​FOOT = 12 inches

• ​YARD = 3 feet

• ​ROD = 5.5 yards = 16.5 feet

• ​CHAIN= 4 rods = 66 feet= 100 links

• ​FURLONG = 10 chains = 40 rods = 660 feet

• MILE = 8 furlongs = 80 chains =320 rods = 1760 yards = 5280 feet

​Metric System

METER = 1000 milliliters

​METER = 100 centimeters

​METER = 10 decimeters

​1 decameter = 10 meters

​1 hectometer = 100 meters

​1 kilometer = 1000 meters
