​IMPERATIVE SENTENCES

In Bahasa, we called it "kalimat perintah.

​

​"Close the door, Jimmy. It's cold outside."

​"Okay Mom"

​

​It means that "Jimmy, I want you to close the door because it's cold outside"

​"SIT DOWN!"

​"BE CAREFUL!"

​An Imperative sentence uses the simple present form of a verb.

​e.g close, open, sit, stand, etc

​

​You may add negative form to stop someone from doing something

​Imperatives sentences are used to give orders, directions, advice, and request.
