Why do we use present perfect?

​Use

​To talk about recent past and its realtionship with the present.

​Example:

​I have cleaned the fridge, so now it looks new.

​

​We don't say when exactly when things happened

​

​Example:

​I've cleaned the fridge. NOT I've cleaned the fridge ten minutes ago.
