​FRACTION AND ITS TYPES

• ​PROPER FRACTION- A fraction where the numerator is less than the denominator, then it is known as a proper fraction.

​

• ​IMPROPER FRACTION- A fraction where the numerator is greater than the denominator , then it is known as an improper fraction.

​

• ​MIXED FRACTION- A mixed fraction is the combination of a natural number and fraction . It is basically an improper fraction.

​

• ​LIKE FRACTION- The fractions which have the same denominator are called like fraction . For example - 1/2, 3/2, 5/2, 7/2 are called like fractions.

• ​UNLIKE FRACTIONS- The fraction which have unequal denominators are called unlike fractions.

• ​EQUIVALENT FRACTIONS - are the fractions that have different numerator and denominator but are equal to the same value
