7
Estimation
In maths, estimation means having a rough calculation of the value, number, quantity or extent of something.
8
Let us imagine
Mom sends you to the shop...
Is estimation involved?
9
Can you remember a time you used estimation?
10
Is there a difference between Estimation and Approximation?
11

We can describe estimation as an educated guess. While approximation is a value or quantity that is very similar, but not exactly correct.
12
Approximation is the process of using rounding to determine a fairly accurate value.
Rounding off is the process of making a number less exact, but easier to work with, by rounding off to a specific digit.
