​The future tense in German

​This presentation will show you how to use the future tense in German.

​Work your way through the slides and the questions, and make a note of the key information in your books.

​We will shortly look at a dialogue to demonstrate how the future tense is used in German. But before that, we're going to look at some key words to help you understand the interview better.

​At the end: main verb in 'en' form

​How to form the future tense

​Am Wochenende werde ich Federball spielen

​1st idea: time phrase

​2nd idea: form of werden

​At the end: main verb in "en" form

​If you start the sentence with the time frame and NOT the subject, the subject comes after werden.

​The forms of werden

​ich werde - I will

​du wirst - you will

​er/sie/es wird - he/she/it will

​wir werden - we will

​ihr werdet - you (plural) will

​sie/Sie werden - they / you (polite) will
