​WHAT IS A PARABLE?

​A parable is a picture story which helps us understand spiritual truth by using everyday objects and relationships.

​

​A Parable is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning.

​Some Parables of Jesus.

​1. The Parable of the sower. Matthew chapter 13 verse 1 to 9

​2. The Parable of the wheat and tares. Matthew chapter 13 verse 24 to 30 and 36 to 43.

​3. The Prodigal son. Luke 15:11-32

​4. The Parable of the lost sheep. Luke 15:3-7, 1-7

​5. The Parable of the rich fool. Luke 13:16-21

​6. The Parable of tghe rich man and Lazarus. Luke 16:19-31

​THE SIGNIFICANCE OF PARABLES

​1. The Parable represents selfish rich people.

​2. Stingy and covetious people will not go to heaven.

​3. It shows the neglect of God's blessings and assistance in getting wealth.
