Count Nouns

​Count nouns are names of persons or things that can be counted.

​

​​We can use infinite articles like a or an for singular count noun and the words several, few, some, all, and many for plural count nouns.

We call these words quantifiers.

Quantifiers are words that show quantity or amount.

​Mass Nouns

​Mass nouns are names of persons or things that cannot be counted.

​

​Less, little and much are quantifiers used with mass nouns.

​There are also quantifiers that can be used to either count or mass nouns. These quantifiers are a lot of, lots of, and plenty.

​Some nouns can also be used to quantify other count and mass nouns.
