  • ​Emphasize a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole-grain options, and fat free or low-fat dairy products

  • ​Include fish, beef, chicken, beans, eggs, nuts in your diet

  • ​Limit saturated and trans fat, as well as added sugars

​- A healthy breakfast helps refuel the body and replenishes blood sugar and nutrients essential to help throughout the day!

​Examples include... Eggs, whole-grain waffles, fruits & vegetables, whole-grain toast, oatmeal

​- Should cover 1/2 of your plate

​- Aim for color variety

​- Potatoes and french fries do not count as a healthy vegetable because their negative on blood sugar
