Ella´s Life

Ella was born in 1917, April 25. She lived in Virginia before moving to Yonkers,NY.

​Sadly, Ellas mother died so she moved with her aunt.

​In 1934, there was a contest and ella and her aunt didn´t have much money. So Ella entered. She sang 2 songs. AND SHE WON!

​The audince loved Ella son she kept entering contest and kept wining!

​Ellas First Songs!

​Ellas first song was ¨LOVE AND KISSES¨. She also sang it live at Savory.

​In 1938, she wrote and sang. ¨A Tisket a Tasket¨. and sold 1 million copies.

​The 1950s and 1960s was the best years for ella.

​She made popular music, and won the first grammy awared.

​She recored 200 albums and 2,000 songs .

​She gave a lot to charity.

​In 1996, June 15th sadly ella died. But she was known as ¨The First Lady of Songs¨.
