​3rd Person Singular

Ketika menggunakan Simple Present Tense, yang perlu diperhatikan saat kalimat positif (affirmative) yaitu saat penggunaan Verb dalam 3rd Singular Person (HE, SHE, IT). Seperti yang tertera dalam tabel disamping.

​Verb Ending Rules

​General Rule : add -s

​for example :

• walk - she walks

• ​talk - he talks

• ​answer - she answers

​​Verb Ending Rules

​Verb ending in s, ss, ch, sh, x, o : add -es

​for example :

• ​​miss - she misses

• ​watch - he watches

• ​wash - she washes

• ​fix - he fixes

• ​go - she goes

​​​Verb Ending Rules

​Verbs ending in consonant + y

>> change the y into i and add -es

​for example:

• ​study - she studies

• ​tidy - he tidies

​​​​Verb Ending Rules

​Verbs ending in vowel (a, i, u, e, o) + y : add -es

​for example :

• ​play - she plays

• ​enjoy - he enjoys

• ​stay - she stays

​Isilah kata kerja berikut dengan menambahkan akhiran -s/-es/-ies sesuai dengan aturan yang telah dijelaskan pada pemaparan sebelumnya.
