Question image

Bree wants to save 40% of her weekly pay as a lifeguard. How much does she plan to save each week?

6

Bree makes $250 per week.

By putting the $250 in the top bar and splitting it into 10 pieces we can find out how much 10% of $250 is. Then we can multiply that by 4 because 10% + 10% + 10% + 10% = 40%.

So if 10% of $250 is $25, then 40% is $100.

$250

$25

So Bree saves $100 per paycheck.
