What do we call "countable" nouns?

  • Countable nouns are the ones that we can count (1, 2, 3, ...)

  • They have both a singular and a plural form.

  • In singular, they can take the indefinite article "a" or "an". e.g There is a book on the desk.

  • In plural, they take the ending "s". e.g There are 2 apples in the basket.

  • They can sometimes take the word "some" (μερικοί, μερικές, μερικά). e.g I can see some flowers in the garden.
