• ​Beakers are not used for accurate measurements. They are used for mixing and sometimes for containing reactions.

• ​Graduated Cylinders allow for more accurate measurements of volume. They can be made of plastic or glass.

• ​Erlenmeyer Flasks are used in titrations and when reactions need more containment

• ​Test Tubes are used for small reactions and to heat small amounts of a reactant. They are not useful for accurate measurement.

• Test Tube Holders are the tongs used to hold a test tube when it is being heated.

• Test Tube Racks are where test tubes are stored when in use.​
