Phrasal verbs
Those are the combination of a VERB + a PREPOSITION.
When they're together their meaning CHANGE!
TIPS:
DON'T translate them or think in Spanish.
Learn their meaning by CONTEXT.
As verbs they CAN be used in ALL tenses.
There´s an EFFECTIVE way to learn them;
MEMORIZE or MEMORIZE them.

go off = to stop liking someone or something.
E.g: After watching the las Fast and Furious movie, we went off them.
take off = remove your clothes or shoes.
E.g: He has taken his favorite jacket off before arrived home.
log off = to exit from a website or social media.
E.g: It's important to always log off your email account.

chat + object pronoun (me, him etc) up = to have a conversation or talk to someone you like.
E.g: Paquita has been chatting him up all night
dress up = wear special clothes for an event, e.g: for a party.
E.g: Jlo and Shakira will dress up an expensive and exclusive dress for the grammys.
scroll up = to move the mouse or cellphone to see or visit the earlier page/information.
E.g: You have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the start bottom.

shut down = to turn off something.
E.g: My computer shuts down automatically at 4pm.
dress down = to wear old or informal clothes.
