19
No siempre vamos a ver los pronombres con el verbo to be, por lo que debemos saber de quien estamos hablando.
Si yo digo Mr. Lopez es Señor Lopez, por lo tanto estamos hablando de él y el (he) va con el verbo to be is.
Si decimos a pencil es un lápiz. Nos referimos a un objeto singular (1) y usamos el (it), que va con is.
20
Ejemplos:
The pizza____ tasty. (am,is,are)
Si decimos It is tasty.
It is round and soft. ( La pizza es sabrosa. Es redonda y suave.) En lugar de: The pizza is tasty. The pizza is round. The pizza is soft.
21
Ejemplos:
Dog= It
Jennifer= she
Kris and I= we ( Kris y yo, es nosotros)
Plane= it
Marcos and Ian= they
