​Berfore you start using the Internet, it is important to learn about Internet safety rules. These rules will help you to stay safe when browsing websites, using email and chatting online.

1. Only look at web pages that you think are appropriate for you. If you become uncomfortable with anything you see or read online, tell your parents or teacher right away.

2. Only use the internet when your parents tell you it is OK to do so. Do not spend too much time on the Internet.

3. Always have good manners and be polite when chatting to someone else online.

4. Do not download anything from the Internet without asking an adult first.

5. Do not send pictures or any personal information to strangers

6. Do not open emails from people you do not know.

7. Keep your password private. Only give your password to your parents or teacher.

8. Never agree to meet someone that you have chatted to on the Internet.
