Find what X is.
5+x=15?
To be able to get this answer I must change properties. So that addition sign is going to change into a subtraction sign. So it will be 15- 5 and 15-x. 15-x is going to be zero cause we don't know what X is, Then all is left is 15-5, and that equals 10. So 10=X. The answer is 10.

Find what Y is.
14-Y=7?
To be able to get this answer I must change properties. So that subtraction sign is going to change into a addition sign. So it will be 14+ 7 and 14+y. 14+y is going to be zero because we don't know what Y is yet, Then all is left is 14+7, and that equals 21. So 21=Y. The answer is 21.
