We are dependent on our environment for sustaining life. The health of our environment affects our personal level of health. Health Canada has developed programs and resources to help maintain a safe environment for Canadians, addressing air quality, water quality, soil contamination affecting food supply, toxic management, and a wide range of workplace health and safety issues.
