It consists of dates, timelines, facts, names, and places.
When we study history, we explore all aspects of people's lives in the past.
We look at the cultures, religions, politics, and economies of the nations to compare societies and draw conclusions.

Historians use a wide variety of sources in order to answer questions about the past.
they use both sources which are:
Primary sources
Secondary sources
8
1. Primary sources of history.
These sources are :
The original records of events created at the event that has survived the past, e.g., diaries, letters, photographs, paintings, maps, recordings, magazines, and stories.

2. Literature:
such as poetry, stories, myths, and novels are ways to find out what life was like at that time.
3. Artifacts:
things such as paintings, tools, clothing, and furniture that people used long ago.

When writing about history and ancient civilization, primary sources are more important, but it is hard to find because:
many records are lost and burned.
many are hard to obtain because they are inscriptions on tombstones or other monuments.

2. Secondary source of history.
These are accounts of the past created by people writing about events sometime after they have happened, such as oral history.
