After World War I...

The United States went through an economic boom during the 1920s. Americans were optimistic about their future. This was a time of prosperity. People were working and earning high salaries. Overall, this was a time when most everyone was feeling happy, fortunate, and comfortable.

Developments in Entertainment

The 1920s was a time period of intense growth in art, literature, and music. Artists and writers were developing different styles never before seen. Georgia O'Keefe, F.Scott Fitzgerald, John Steinbeck, Aaron Copland, and George Gershwin were among the most famous artists and writers during the Roaring Twenties.
