What is a fraction?
Well... lemme show and tell you!
Fraction: represents a part of a whole or, more generally, any number of equal parts. When spoken in everyday English, a fraction describes how many parts of a certain size there are, for example, one-half, eight-fifths, three-quarters
3
You are able to find fractions that are EQUIVALENT to each other by looking at how they are cut out. For example, we can see that 2/4th's is the same as 1/2 or 2/8ths is the same as 1/4th.
Lets take a more detailed look
4
We are going to work on the first worksheet together on identifying fractions, the second worksheet you will use will be identifying fractions on your own (which I know you can do since you are all super smart!)
You will also be able to use your fraction chart for help if needed
Now lets work on a worksheet together
