A. Definisi
• Teks deskripsi merupakan teks yang menggambarkan atau memaparkan suatu objek secara jelas dan terperinci. Jadi, pembaca seolah-olah merasakan apa yang ditulis atau dideskripsikan penulis.
•Tujuan teks deskripsi ialah menggambarkan objek dengan memerinci secara subjektif atau melukiskan kondisi objek dari sudut pandang penulis. Penulis harus menggambarkan objek sekonkret mungkin sehingga pembaca seakan- akan melihat, mendengar hingga merasakan. Adapun objek yang dibicarakan pada teks

B. FUNGSI SOSIAL
Social Functions of descriptive Text :
Teks deskriptif mempunyai beberapa fungsi sosial diantaranya untuk membanggakan (proud of), menjual (selling), mengenali (identify) dan mengidentifikasi(identification).

1. Teks deskripsi subjektif adalah teks deskrisi yang penggambaran objeknya menurut kesan yang dimiliki oleh penulis teks.
2. Teks deskripsi spasial adalah teks deskripsi yang menggambarkan objek berupa tempat, benda, ruang, dan lainnya.
3. Teks deskripsi objektif adalah teks deskripsi yang menggambarkan objek apa adanya/berdasarkan keadaan yang sebenarnya tanpa penambahan opini dari penulis.

berisi gambaran umum sebuah objek

deskripsi umum secara jelas dan untuk
memberikan efek emosional pada pembaca sehingga apa yang digambarkan dalam teks seolah- olah bisa dilihat, didengar, maupun dirasakan sendiri oleh pembaca.
•3. CLOSING (Penutup/Kesan) : berisi tentang opini / kesan penulis tentang objek secara subjektif
