causative use:

We use the causative when we want to talk about something someone did for us or somebody else. we use "have" or "get"

​

E.G:

• Jenny had her car fixed. - Jenny paid a mechanic to fix her car. (Have+Formal)

  ​I'll get my washing machine fixed tomorrow. (Get+Informal)

HOW TO FORM IT (have-had)

have-had+person+infinitive

e.g:​

• I'll have the doctor give me some medicine.

• I had the mechanic check my car.

how to form it (get)

get+person+to+infinitive

e.g:​

​

• I'll get him to go to the store​

• ​I got the cleaner to wash the windows
