Nomenclature Rules for Naming Heterocycles

​Rule 1: Choose the corresponding Prefix and Suffix

1. Prefix - Identify the heteroatom present in the ring.

2. Suffix – Identify the size of ring and degree of saturation or unsaturation

3. Numbering the ring – single heteroatom – started from heteroatom.
