People living in cities work primarily on non-agricultural jobs.

Cities are convenient places for people to live, work, and play.

• ​Better job opportunities - Cities attract many companies that pay higher salaries

• Public transportation - Cities have trains or subways, buses, and plenty of taxis and ride sharing drivers so you can get where you need to go. It is possible to live without a car in most major cities.

• Better infrastructure (roads, communication networks, water and sewage systems, electrical systems)

• More entertainment, dining and shopping experiences. 

• Better medical treatment (Advances in medicine)

• Higher cost of living (Homes, food basic necessities cost more)

• Smaller homes and more high rise buildings due to a lack of space

​Disadvantages of living in the city

• Greater pollution (air, water, land and noise)

• Higher crime rates
