Clause

is a group of words that contains BOTH a subject (noun) and a predicate (verb)​.​

Types of Clauses

Independent Clause

is a complete thought that can stand alone as a sentence.​

Types of Clauses

Dependent Clause

are not complete thoughts and cannot stand alone as a sentence.​ Dependent clauses are also known as subordinate clauses.

• whenever you come to visit
