Did you know plants make THEIR OWN food? They do! It's called photosynthesis!

Leaves make food for the plant.

They have tiny openings called stomata. The stomata absorb a gas called carbon dioxide from the air. Then, during photosynthesis, they release a different gas called oxygen back into the air.​
