Planning Instruction and Sequencing of Learning

26

Why are evidence-based strageties important?

  • A greater chance of excellent results for students.

  • Increased responsibility due to the availability of data to support the choice of a practice or program, which allows support from administrators, parents, and others.

  • Less time and resources are wasted since instructors begin with a good practice or program rather than being forced to find one via trial and error.

  • A greater chance of being attentive to the needs of students.

As students ourselves - There's a better chance of encouraging us to try it because it's shown to work.

27

The use of sequencing allows pupils to have a thorough comprehension of the material being taught.

It allows teachers to think about their lesson objectives, the sorts of activities that will fulfill those objectives, the sequencing of those activities, etc...

Why is planning instruction and sequencing learning important?
