​Degress of comparisson is used to compare two person, things or animals

Degrees of comparisson memiliki 3 tiga tingkat, yaitu positive degree, comparative degree dan superlative degree​

​1. Positive degree

membandingkan hal yang sama ( compare the same things)​

as adjective​ / adverb as

Example : You are as pretty as your mother​

​S (pertama) + to be + as adjective as + S (kedua)
​example: Nada is as smart as Dayu S (pertama) to be as adjective as S(kedua)

Pola 1​

​S (pertama) + V + as adverb as + S (kedua) + V
​example: Edo Runs as fast as Beni does S(pertama) v as adverb as S(kedua) V

Pola 2​

​2. Comparative degree

membandingkan hal yang sifatnya lebih dari yang lain

adjective​ + -er atau more + adjective

Example : You are more beautiful than your mother​

​S (pertama) + to be + adjective + -er + than + S (kedua)
​example: Siti is smarter than Dayu S (pertama) to be adjective +-er than S(kedua)

Pola 1​

​S (pertama) + to be + more adjective + than + S (kedua)
​example: Chocolate is more delicious than strawberry S(pertama) to be more adjective than S(kedua)

Pola 2​

​3. superlative degree

membandingkan hal yang sifatnya paling dari yang lain

adjective​ + -est atau most + adjective

Example : You are more beautiful than your mother​

​S (pertama) + to be + the adjective + -est + O
​example: Siti is the smartest student in the class S (pertama) to be the adjective +-est O

​S (pertama) + to be + the most adjective + O
​example: Chocolate is the most delicious food S(pertama) to be the most adjective O
