This speech style is for very close relationships like couples, family, and best friends.
It uses personal language codes.
Ex. A child who often forgets to close the door may be told by his or her sibling to do so just by saying, “Door.”

When do we usually use the formal speech style of communication?
meetings, speeches, school lessons, court, a corporate meeting, swearing in ceremony, in an interview or in a classroom
- Language is comparatively rigid and has a set, agreed-upon vocabulary that is well documented (standard).
