Matter is every thing around us that has a mass and takes up space.​

​Physical properties are characteristics that can be observed or measured

• ​Mass and volume are examples of physical properties.

• ​The other physical properties are Color, Size , state , Shape , Texture like Flexibility, Hardness, softness

• magnetic properties and conductivity , reflectivity .

​ Property of matter related to the amount of light that a material reflects.

​Reflectivity

FLEXIBILITY​/ MALLEABILITY

It describes how easily something can be

bent or can be easily shaped into different forms without breaking.

MAGNETIC PROPERTY

​The force of attraction or repulsion between substances made of certain materials, such as iron, steel etc

​Like poles of the magnet repel each other and unlike poles attract each other.

• ​Materials that conduct heat or electricity are known as Conductors. All metals are conductors. Eg : Silver, gold , copper,Sea water, steel, iron etc

• ​Materials that do not conduct heat or electricity are known as insulators.

Eg : plastic , Wood , Paper , Rubber , Glass etc​
