There are at the very base of it two* types of questions you can expect. The one where you need to choose the answer from given options, and the TITA based ones, where you type your own answer.

There are several approaches to take for these questions. Each question will most likely employ an amalgamation of these approaches per need.​

Connectives and Transition words:​

​Connectives and transition words are logical connectors of different sentences. Connectives are words that connect two sentences together. Some examples of connectives are: After, When, Because, Alternatively, Although, Though, Yet, Until, Since, Etc.

Transition words, are words used by the author to shift one idea in a sentence to another (ushering a change). Some examples of transition words are: However, Besides, Nevertheless, etc.

Sentences that start with a connective or a transition word are almost never introductory sentences. They always refer to activities/events/people mentioned/introduced in the preceding sentences.​

Articles​

The articles ‘The’, ‘A’ and ‘An’ too help in finding out the order of the sentences. ‘The’ is a definite article which is used before something/someone specific or when something/someone has already been introduced in the previous sentences.

Whereas, ‘A’ and ‘An’ articles are used when something is being introduced for the first time and are also used when stating general facts. A sentence containing ‘A’ and ‘An’ could be an introductory sentence.

Noun-Pronoun Relationship​

In noun/pronoun relationships, it is obvious that the noun will come first and will be referred to later using suitable pronouns.

C. A study estimates that in 1995, there were as many as 6,700 reptile-caused salmonella infections.

Full Form vs. Short Form - When we introduce someone or something, we use the complete name or title. When we refer to the same someone or something later in the paragraph, we use just the surname or the first name if we are on familiar terms with the person being discussed. If we are discussing an object, we remove the modifiers and just use the noun or a pronoun to refer to it. In Parajumbles we encounter full and short names or sometimes acronyms of some term or institution.​
